Visit the Port of Rouen
Guided tours of the port facilities are intended for group of visitors and are conducted in the upstream portion of the port area, close up to eh cargo terminals. These tours include a commentary given by a guide and can be done by bus or launch. Their purpose is to provide insight into economic activity through the people and their trades, through the seagoing ships, port terminals, goods and cargo handling techniques, and much more.
- Group tours by bus
A group with a bus (preferably with a sound system) can take a tour of the port lasting two hours between Rouen and Moulineaux, the only requirement being to apply to Rouen port Authority for a guide. These tours are conducted all year round from monday to saturday. Subject to certain conditions, it is possible for Rouen Port Authority to hire out buses to groups which do not have their own (please get in touch with us for this). - Group tours by launch
Rouen Port Authority can make available to groups already formed a launch with a seating capacity of 73*. These tours take place Monday to Saturday, march to october. Three routes are proposed :
- The upstream portion of the Port between G. le Conquerant bridge et the Dieppedalle ferry crossing plus return trip (approx duration 1h15 min),
- Rouen - la Bouille, outward or return trip (approx duration 1h30min),
- Rouen - la Bouille, outward and return trip (duration between 2h30min and 3h).
Contractual terms :
- Where any cancellation has not reached Rouen Port Authority by fax (+33 2 35 52 54 17), postal mail or e-mail (oe@rouen.port.fr) at least 24h prior to the date set for the tour, the entire price for the service will be payable.
- Any delay must be notified to Rouen Port Authority : - Tour by launch : ph 06
08 96 67 60 - Tour by bus : ph +33 2 35 52 55 18 ; fax : +33 2 35 52 54 17 . In case of delay the tour time will be reduced proportionally to the delay incured.
- In case of unacceptable behaviour, the guide may terminate the tour at his sole discretion without reduction of the price billed.
- Rouen Port Authority reserves the right to modify tour times and to cancel tours without prior notice abd without incurring liability for compensation of any kind, where the reason for this is weather, tides, port activity or any other cause beyond its control (e.g. labour strike). Another date will be suggested in such cases.
