Transport connections

  • Maritime : suitable for 40,000 to 50,000dwt bulk carriers fully loaded and ships up to 160,000dwt partially loaded for regular shipping services, see the Rouen Port magazine supplement.
  • Access to A15, A16 and A29 motorways via the Tancarville bridge.
  • The site is connected to the rail network.
  • River transport possible.

Description

  • 7 private berths offering a total of 30 loading piers
  • Draughts up to 11m

  • A biofuel unit is planned (Sodes Tereos)

Radicatel container and ro-ro terminal

Description

  • 410m public wharf with a fixed access ramp (vehicles); extended upstream by a private ro-ro berth and mobile access ramp.
  • Draughts up to 11.5m
  • Private gantry crane for containers (45') and 1 private 25/64-tonne mobile crane.
  • Wharf back-up areas : 14 hectares.

  • The Port-Jérôme terminals are placed under the management of Rouen Port Authority. In the area behind the wharves a joint body, SMI Port-Jérôme is responsible for the infrastructures and development of the Port-Jérôme complex and the surronding area, as well as for all economic and development initiativesµ. The industrial complex covers 1,500 hectares and specialises in three categories of activity : heavy industry in the petrochemicals and thermoplastics chemicals fields, industrial subcontracting and high-technology activities.
