Forest products, general cargo and dry bulk terminal

Description

  • 2 x 122m wharfs 220m apart (QSH1-QSH2) and
    1 x 136m wharf (QSH3), enabling several vessels with draughts of 8m to 9m lenghts up to 200m to be accommodated concurrently.
  • 1 x 15/30-tonne rail-mounted crane,
    1 x 15/25-tonne rail-mounted crane,
    1 x 3/6/8-tonne rail-mounted crane,
    1 x 10/25/40-tonne mobile tyre crane and
    1 x 10/40-tonne mobile tyre crane.
  • Wharf back-up areas : 65 hectares.
  • 10 private warehouses (12 hectares).
  • 70 hectares of land available for port use.
  • 1 x 4,000 sq. m. warehouse.

Traffic categories

  • Logs and square-sawn timber from Africa, sawn wood and semi-finished products from Brazil, softwood from the North - imported from Finland, Sweden and Russia - local wood for export.
  • Industrial bulk cargo : atapulgite, peat, fertiliser, etc.
  • In season, cruise liners and riverboats.

Operations based on site

Liquid bulk wharf

Description

  • BTT private wharf for vessls up to 30,000dwt.
  • Depot : 15 hectares, tank storage capacity (32)
    320,000 cu. m.

Aggregates wharf

Description

  • Public wharf for 10,000dwt self-unloading vessels.
  • 7-hectare discharge facility and private platform operated by Compagnie des Sablieres de la Seine (CSS) covering 3 hectares and equipped with a reception hopper connected to a conveyor system and processing installation (desalting, screening and crushing).
